Testing Aldi Skincare Products! My First Impressions!

Aldi lacura skincare

Skincare is something that is becoming more important to me as time goes on. If you’ve read any of my previous posts on skin care, you will know that I’m not great at sticking to a skincare routine. In my confidence post, you will see I am trying to change that and also try out new products. When I spotted a couple of these products in the Aldi specials isle, I decided to give a few more a try and see what they are like.

Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser

The Product

With the help of the gentle exfoliating muslin cloth, Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser is formulated to deeply cleanse the skin. It softens and conditions the skin with the extracts of cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile, white tea and eucalyptus oil. It effectively removes makeup and leaves skin feeling smoother and refreshed.

Why I picked it up

I spotted this in the specials isle and knew I had to try it. It sounded exactly the same as the Liz Earle one I loved so much. I can tell you, it did not disappoint. This product took off my makeup with ease and left my face feeling very clean and soft. It smells, and works, exactly the same as the Liz Earle one. I loved it so much I asked Simon to pick me up some more and he came back with 4! At £3.99 this one is definitely a winner. Better get it quick though! As it’s only a special they don’t have it all the time. Check your local store or click this link to see if they have any left online.

Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask

The Product

Formulated with clay and extracts of green tea, witch hazel and red algae, Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask helps leave skin looking radiant and revitalised. Minimising the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, the mud mask works it’s magic to make your skin look clear and healthy.

Why I bought it

I picked up the mud mask in the specials as I really wanted to try out a mud mask. having never used one like this before, I didn’t know what to expect. It went on very nicely and you can feel the little exfoliating beads as you are putting it on. I only let it on for 5 minutes as it started to feel like it was burning around my lips. Some of the product did go on my lips so that was probably the reason for it. It has put me off a bit though. The mud mask cost £5.99 and is sold out online so, if you want to try it, check your local store.

Lacura Beautifying Serum

The Product

An intensive concentrated skincare serum, Lacura Beautifying Serum counteracts the signs of ageing. With its exclusive blue-green micro-algae extract, it gives the appearance of younger looking skin. This serum protects and aids skin harmonisation, reduces the appearance of wrinkles and moisturises and tightens your skin.

Why I bought it

This product intrigued me. I have never used a serum before, so thought I would give it a go. It feels a little bit sticky going on but, once it’s sunk in, it makes your skin feel smooth and soft. For £3.99, you can get you own instore or online.

Lacura Eye Gel

The Product

Lacura Eye Gel helps improve skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. The gel refreshes tired eyes and counteracts any swelling.

Why I bought it

I bought this product because, again, I have never tried an eye gel. The same as the serum, it felt a bit sticky going on. It made me feel refreshed and more awake. For a first time try of this product, I really like it. It costs £3.99 and can be purchased online or instore.

Lacura Caviar Day Cream

lacura caviar day cream

The Product

This day cream is light in texture, which makes it suitable to wear under makeup. It helps to rehydrate and protect the skin from environmental influences. Lacura Caviar Day Cream improves elasticity and radiance, supports the repair of ageing and makes skins smoother and silkier.

Why I bought it

I decided to buy this day cream because I had heard great things about it. Although it is aimed at women 40+, I thought why not give it a go. Moisturiser is moisturiser. After trying it out, I really like it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth and is a great base for makeup. Putting my foundation on after is a much smoother process. At £6.99 I don’t care if it’s aimed at older women, I love it. Get yours instore or via this link.
